Guidelines and Functions

Committee Role

Guidelines

  • The Finance Committee will function as per the guidelines of the Governing Council.
  • The Finance Committee should meet twice in a year or whenever required.
  • All decisions of the Finance Committee should be forwarded to the Governing Council for approval.

Functions

  • Place the annual accounts and financial estimates before the Finance Committee for scrutiny, then submit them to the Governing Body with committee comments for approval.
  • Estimate income from fees and other sources.
  • Estimate funds received from UGC, AICTE or any other funding agency.
  • Scrutinize budgets submitted by departments and monitor department budget utilisation.
  • Propose the budget for the financial year for the departments and the institute.
  • Consider audited accounts of the institute and submit them to the Governing Body for approval.
