Overview
Creating Awareness, Confidence And Equal Participation
Women Study Cell was established in the academic year 2003-04. According to the circular issued by the Commissioner of Collegiate Education in 2015, the Women Study Cell was renamed as the Women Empowerment Cell.
WEC creates awareness among girl students by conducting workshops, seminars, rallies and awareness programmes on gender bias. The cell also organized a five-day SAM workshop on capacity of women managers in higher education under UGC guidance in 2012 and conducts creative competitions such as Rangoli every year.
