Ideal College of Arts & Sciences is an institution inspired by the great saying of Swamy Vivekananda "Man Making Education". The patriotism of the great men like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Col. D. S. Raju, Sri Sardar Vallabhai Patel, gave efforts to build a nation with pride and strength after attaining Independence in 1950s.

Post Independent Era is filled with the desire of creating a new Human Resource for the young India. Ideal College is the off-shoot of such an effort made by eminent and dedicated social servants like Dr. P. V. N. Raju, Sri.Putta Ramamurthy, Sri Ponnamanda Ramachandra Rao, and others. And I have the fortune to become a part of the effort. Human resources are not born but made by culture, tradition, and education.

The vision of the college is to bring forth the enormous latent strength of Indian youth by training and systematic learning. It started with a sapling of a school and now reached the stage of a mighty educational institution. Its core objective is to sustain the integrity, honour, and dignity of man, protecting his mental and material wealth.

It is still growing, and I know it grows to unreachable heights.

Vision:

The Vision of the builders of the Ideal College of Arts and Sciences(A), Kakinada is to bring forth a comprehensive model Institution of Higher Education with the ideals of Universal harmony with the components of material well being, meta physical discipline and homogeneous integration in the product i.e., the young learner. The teacher is viewed as a catalyst or facilitator in bringing out all round development of the student, while he as a catalyst strives in continuing updation of his knowledge.

Mission:

• To introduce the spirit of Social commitment in the student as a good citizen obeying and respecting the Constitution of India
• To develop the spirit of democracy and truthfulness.
• To empower the learner to lead a dignified life in the society equipped with the skills and knowledge required, with concern towards the other members of the society.
